We Get To Give

We cannot give money if we do not have money. We cannot give knowledge that we do not have. We cannot teach people how to use a camera properly if we ourselves do not know how to use a camera properly.

We cannot give what we do not have.

Consequently, if we have bitterness, chances are we can give out more than just a share of bitterness to other people. If we fill ourselves with hate and/or any other form of wickedness, the Word says that even our attempts at love will be cruel (Proverbs 12:10)

We cannot impart wisdom that we have not gained. We cannot share the gift of salvation if we ourselves have not been saved.

"Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren." James 1:16

Be wary of people who speak like they are teaching, but with the motive of self-glorification. By preying on people who know less than they do, they deceive them to believe that they are wiser than they really are.

"But examine all things; hold fast to what is good. Stay away from every form of evil." 1 Thessalonians 5:21-22

It is well communicated in Christian communities that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. To those who seek to understand this more, I believe that the fear of the Lord is the recognition of the fact that our God is not just a God of love and understanding, but He is also a just God who firmly stands against evil and disobedience. I believe this fear is the beginning of wisdom as it is what we always need to keep in mind in every action we take, every decision that we make. This fear gives us the boldness to obey the Lord, and to stay away from disobedience and sin.

This is why we need to read the Bible more. Through the Word we understand more about how serving God above all else brings us the true peace that we seek. Through the Word we see how God keeps us from disobedience because it only leads to our downfall. We understand more and more of the Lord as we keep reading our Bibles.

The most important knowledge we can gain and share is in the Bible. It is through knowledge of the Word that we gain discernment. In this day and time, where lies abound, and where good is evil and evil is good, we definitely need discernment.

There will be many people who will try to deceive you, diverting you from walking the path of righteousness through Jesus Christ. There are all sorts of lies, all sorts of false doctrine that even the smartest people are falling prey to.

My friends, I know I've been saying it so much recently, but I simply cannot go on without pushing the salvation that comes only though Jesus Christ.

"Jesus replied, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" John 14:6

Jesus is the only truth we need. Following His example is the way. Following His way leads us to life. By believing in Him and Him alone, we can come to the Father.

"...because if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9

That is what I have learned. That is what I can share. To God be all the glory, honor, and praise. To God be all the recognition, accolades, and worship.
