Grace Abounds

God's grace and love pierces through the thickest of fog, the darkest of night. Where sin abounds, the apostle Paul says that grace abounds even more. The lies of sin will eventually give in to the truth of God's promises.

In Christ, we grow and move from glory to glory. He is with us before we scale the mountains we face. He is our strength and guidance as we climb, and He rejoices with us when we reach the top... and when we do reach the top, I believe it is not uncommon for us to find out that the top of a mountain is the base of another mountain to climb.

I take this time to thank God for His promises, and His faithfulness. He is indeed faithful to His word, which states that He does not allow us to be tempted more than we can handle. He is faithful to His word which states that He provides a means of escape when temptation is encountered. Though the enemy may try again and again to tear us down, I stand firm... not of my own strength, but in the arms of my Savior, Jesus Christ.

He is all that I need. He is the light of the world, the light and life that shines in spite of what darkness we are in (or put ourselves into).

I keep saying that I definitely agree with the declaration that we will definitely see a greater revelation of God's love this year. Trial after trial may have come up, but this only affirms our dependence on Christ alone. These troubles are not destructive flames, but refining fires, ensuring everything that goes through them is in better and greater shape than before.

In Christ, we have hope that preserves us. This is a hope which does not just operate depending on our feelings. This is a hope which remains as Christ's word remains. This hope states that our troubles are merely temporary compared to the eternal glory that we shall behold in Christ.

If I want to say anything this evening, if none of this gets in, I just want to declare that we should take heart... for our Savior, Jesus Christ, has overcome the world.

God bless us all.
