Worship Will Bring Us Together

So that last post was written out of frustration, that the youth group that I was dedicated to developing was treating the team like a love shack. But just a few hours, before the turn of the year, we all came together. It was not because of any explicit effort on my part (ex. Lectures, Sermons) but because we practiced our awesome worship lineup for the joint New Year service, and we inadvertently began worshiping.

It's as if any pretensions and tensions eased when we all worked as part of a team, and the songs just came out so beautifully.

Fast forward to just around an hour ago. You ought to know that as of today my Mom and I have had our differences in theology - and while everything else is just great between us, it's this that just strikes a chord each and every time. But this all seemed to dissipate, as we pursued the yearly tradition of ending the old year and beginning the new year worshiping.

It's as if any pretensions and tensions eased when we just worshiped, and the songs just came out so beautifully.

So Christians. We're bound to be tested with so much more happening in and around the world this new year, 2017. Brother, Sister, do not be dismayed, do not fear. Come, let us reason together.

More importantly, come, and let us worship together.

Happy New Year.
