Hebrews 4:3 For we who have believed enter that rest...

Rest doesn't mean inactivity, it means, 'while you work, you find rest.' What's to believe? The finished work of Christ. We ought to place our belief in the fact that our healing and restoration and reconciliation has been paid for, and rest.

We need to learn how to work out of rest. We need to learn how to work out of the confidence in the finished work of Christ. Normally, when we rest, we don't work. So what does working out of rest mean? It's moving, knowing what Christ already finished. This is the pinnacle of belief, working in full awareness and confidence, not working for favor, not working to believe, but working because we believe. Halleluyah.

We would do so much to rest in God's love. We would be in peace even in the most trying of circumstances. We would have confidence even in the riskiest of situations. We have peace because we believe that the Prince of Peace is not only with us, but alive in us.

Because of Christ alive in us, and because we are alive in Christ, we are calm, we are cool, and we are collected. It's all because of Christ. When we are peaceful, and when we are at rest, we prosper. What we do prospers. His love keeps us and the goodness and mercy follows. Halleluyah.

Indeed, here's another pastor saying, let us labor to enter into His rest!

Genesis 6:8 But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord. - The first place where grace was mentioned in the Bible. Noah's name means rest. Following that, rest found grace and favor. Halleluyah.

Let us labor to enter into God's rest, and we get God's best. Grace was upon Jesus because His was a life of rest. You will find rest when you know that Jesus' life is your life; as His life is one of rest, we ought to be in rest, totally reliant not on our works, but dependent on Him. We need to continue to depend on Christ. If we are to do anything, it will be done knowing that Christ is in us and we are in Christ. We are constantly in rest, and even when we don't feel it, as Christ is with us, so rest is with us. Halleluyah!

The day we stop striving, and the day we start trusting and resting in Christ, is the day we receive miracles and breakthroughs. True in my life too, personally.

Philippians 2:13 AMP
For it is [not your strength, but it is] [a]God who is effectively at work in you, both to will and to work [that is, strengthening, energizing, and creating in you the longing and the ability to fulfill your purpose] for His good pleasure.

It's Christ alive in us, working in us. Rest.
