No Rest For The Wicked, No Idleness For The Righteous

Do you see a man who excels in his work? He will stand before kings; He will not stand before unknown men . (Proverbs 22:29 NKJV)

I used to believe so much in the term, "one thing at a time", especially during my days working in a call center. However, it seems as if I couldn't carry this saying over in real life, seeing as there are just so many things to do. Jesus Christ mentioned earthquakes and wars and rumors of war during the last days, and I believe we are in those times. So there's so much to do, and so little time left.

This is a message for myself. If there's so little time left then this should be more of motivation for us to step up and work even more diligently, and it should not be made an excuse for us to just sit back and wait. There is still so much to do - probably a change in priorities as to what must be done first, but still so much to do!

“Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season? “Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing. “Assuredly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his goods. “But if that evil servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying his coming,’ “and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards, “the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of, “and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. (Matthew 24:45-51 NKJV)

We need The Lord especially during these times. There is so much to do and it is easy for one to be flustered, confused, and overwhelmed; but I believe the God we serve is one of order and of peace, and He is able to set the crooked paths straight, by the power of the Holy Spirit.

It all begins with Jesus Christ. The most essential and important rearrangement any of us needed was done when He died and rose again, making a way back to the Father. In Christ we are on our Way, we see the Truth, and we have true Life, and life abundantly. Apart from God, apart from Christ, I believe all of our efforts are ultimately futile and temporary.

Do you want your time spent the best way possible? Do you want to excel, and stand before kings? The first step is to believe in Jesus Christ today. He paid the price for your salvation, your healing, your restoration. He paid the price for your reconciliation to the Source of excellence, to God the Father.

God bless you.
