The Stillness Of Dawn

"A wicked man hardens his face, but as for the upright, he establishes his way." - Proverbs 21:29

Do not be steered by the accusations that satan makes against you and other people. By the grace of God, through the blood of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit, you have been made new and upright. Establish your way.

I had another dream this morning. Wouldn't actually want to go through the details here, but the message behind it was: "The cards have been dealt and choices have to be made. Prayer changes everything."

Indeed, prayer changes everything. According to the Word, the law has been fulfilled by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Through this the Holy Spirit has been imparted, convicting the world of sin, convicting those who believe of their righteousness in Christ, and convicting both of the coming judgment. By the power of the Holy Spirit those who believe are constantly convicted of the righteousness of Christ which is in them, and through this righteousness have access to the Father.

If we have access to the Father through Jesus Christ, we have communication with God. We may see the facts of our trials and tests, but we step forward in faith knowing that as we pray and acknowledge that our God is the God over the mountains and the valleys, His peace which surpasses all human understanding protects our hearts and minds.

By God's grace, I woke up pretty early this morning. God is so good to speak to us in all times, but as of now I cannot think of a greater time to listen than during the stillness of dawn. There is peace to be felt at these times, getting us ready for the day ahead. I totally agree with what the fine folks of NewSong sing: "Before the day slips away, I want to stop and say I love You, I love You..."

Lord, You are a God of so many chances. Despite all that's been going on I praise You for You have been so faithful to minister to us by graciously bringing us back to diligence when we have been so indolent. Thank You for mornings, thank You for the dawn. Thank You for prayer, and thank You for Jesus Christ who made it possible. I love You so much. In Jesus Christ's Name I pray, amen.

Be still, my soul. Our Father prevails.
