"For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him."
- John 3:17
As a believer in Christ, I am aware of the message that the cross delivers, and its significance as a symbol of my salvation. Jesus Christ was crucified on a cross, His beaten, bloodied and horribly scarred body serving as a worthy sacrifice for the atonement for the sins of all those who would believe. Through His blood we are rinsed clean of our past, present, and future sins, and the veil that separated us from God's presence was torn from the ceiling to the floor. God loved the world that whoever believes in Jesus Christ would not perish but have everlasting life - There is forgiveness, salvation, and a wonderful relationship with the Creator of the Universe to gain simply by believing in Christ's life, death, and resurrection.
"For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God."
- 1 Corinthians 1:18
The miracle of Jesus rising from the dead is the starting point, the 'base camp' where God starts working in you. In other words, when you believe, it does not stop there - see, God does not stop at just saving you - He makes ways to give you a life beyond anything you ever expected or imagined, bringing you to serve your own unique purpose, defined based on how you were created. We all have our own unique blessings, and God will not hesitate to reveal them and to use them for His glory and the advancement of His kingdom, as long as we obey Him and stay in His path.
I just pray that we go beyond appreciating what happened yesterday by eating more hard-boiled eggs than we usually would in a day. There's far more than the Easter Bunny - There's the Resurrrected Jesus. You can question this statement; you can even hate it. I hope it doesn't come to that.
"Those who hate the LORD would cringe toward him, and their fate would last forever."
- Psalm 81:15
God bless you.
