Passionfruit

My song for the moment would be by the Red Hot Chili Peppers - Rollercoaster of Love. Classic.

I stayed home all day in an informal movie trip. Kicked it off by watching King Arthur again. Really, Antonio Fuqua didn't exactly give that kick that the legendary tales of the Knights of the Round Table gave me back during my childhood days of reading books in one corner. Nice twist on how Arturius met Guinevere, though.

But that wasn't the highlight movie of the day, though. After King Arthur, I thought, why don't I finish The Passion of the Christ today? I remember telling myself that it would be absurd to spend the third day after the celebration of the birth of Jesus by watching a film on the last 12 hours of His life. But I played it anyway. I cried. The general thought that ran through me then, honestly, was "How can those scars be 'special effects'?!".. And then it dawned on me that all this time that what was shown on this film could have just been a smidgen of what he really went through, just for the acquittal for filth and sin of those who believe.

I knew what would happen when I watched JFK and that movie on the assasination attempt on Reagan. And I also knew that the Passion was a portrayal of the last breaths of the Messiah. What sets this movie apart from the previous 2 films mentioned was how it moved me, to tears and greater understanding. For once, Hollywood did something right. By the way, "Ecce Homo" means "Behold the Man."

I'm sleepy. more on this next time. God Bless you all.
