When we were in the flesh, and when we were under the law (We are in the flesh when we are under the law), the fruit is still death. We have become dead to the Law, that we would be married to Christ, the grace of God. We are united and raised with Christ to produce fruit unto God.
There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
Romans 8:1-4
Even with the fulfillment of the law, we have no right to throw a stone against a sinner. There is no authority to condemn even if we follow the law to the letter. Christ has the right to stone the adulteress.. but He lovingly chose not to condemn her.
The entity of sin, the outward force of sin has been rendered powerless and condemned by our Father, through the finished work of Jesus Christ. So, we are not only freed from the power of sin, but we also ought to know that its power has been stripped away! Under a sense of God's grace and love for you, you are under grace, walking after the Spirit, and the Law is fulfilled through Christ who is alive in us.
Christ alive in us is the fulfillment of the Law, even the end of the Law, and life abundant in us.
Condemnation kills. How does sickness, old age, and poverty come into the world? Adam and Eve were placed in the Garden of Eden, in paradise! But what happened that all this death came in? Adam and Eve had a choice of eating from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil (Law), or from the Tree of Life (The Spirit of Christ Himself)... They chose to eat the former.
Stress kills, and stress has a source - Fear (Adam said, 'I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid')
The only time Adam and Eve saw they were naked was when they ate of the fruit of the tree.. When they looked into the Law. Law produced condemnation, and caused them to hide... and fear followed, and stress was an effect. Condemnation produces fear, and fear generates stress, and stress kills.
Satan is a prosecutor who condemns us. He kills us by stressing us and condemning us, pointing out all our mistakes and flaws to accuse us. Christ, on the other hand, is our Defender. He sets us free, and who He sets free, is free indeed! We are not set free from one bondage to another bondage... We have been set free to live a life springing forth with health, free from addictions and bondages that keep us in stress, fear and condemnation. We have been set free to shine a life abundant, who is Christ alive in us!
