So much is happening, yet so much is left to do. It's easy to focus on the task at hand, or the tools we need, or the skills we possess, or if we're even up to the challenges.
It's easy to be discouraged, overwhelmed, and/or intimidated. Things happening in us and around us can throw us off. The loss, death, and hopelessness we see in the news can literally drain our strength.
Neil DeGrasse Tyson is probably right in indicating 'all the ways the universe wants to kill us', but then again, I'd like to say that the only reason why we're still alive is because of one thing, and one thing alone: A God who loves us. It is God's perfect grace that sustains us in every breath, God's absolute love and power that guarantees our whole existence. Jesus Christ took our sin and there's nothing but His life, His life abundant available for those who believe!
The world today is becoming more and more bold in calling this simple but overwhelming truth mere foolishness and/or childish, obsolete ramblings. Darkness is truly growing darker... But praise God, because as it grows darker, His light shines ever brighter, for all the world to see!
There is no life outside of Christ, no wisdom apart from Him. All we need to do is to believe.
I believe. And I have life, and life abundant. In all ways. In the loving presence of our Heavenly Father. In Christ. And in Christ alone.
