Good Year So Far!

I don't remember if I mentioned this before, but it was declared that this 2014 would be a year where we will observe a greater revelation of God's love. Right now, I just have to say, January is just finishing, and already we're seeing so many things happening that we could not deny the reality of that declaration.

Are these positive things, you ask? Not necessarily. You must understand that the some of the greatest demonstrations of love come from the most trying of situations, for individuals and families alike. Suddenly all sorts of cheesy love songs come into mind... but it all fades compared to THE greatest demonstration of love, some 2000 years ago... A horribly tortured, and humiliated Jesus Christ was nailed to a cross in Calvary. Though in unspeakable pain and in anguish we can only imagine as indescribable, I believe He was in perfect grace and peace when He said one of the most powerful phrases - 'It is finished.'

I receive e-mail devotionals from Joseph Prince's New Creation Church almost daily, and in one of his recent messages, he elaborated on 2 Peter 1:2, which goes as follows in the King James:

"Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine power hath given unto us all."

The way I understood Pastor Prince, he pointed out that it was clear that if we desire grace and peace to abound more in our own lives, it is through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord. We've been trained in the past year to see people and events through God's eyes... through the eyes of love. We've had practice last year, but I dare say that we've been seeing more action and more events unfolding this month that are more exciting that all the events we've observed for the whole of 2013 combined.

New opportunities revealed. New goals established. Updates and milestones to reach old goals. New mountains. New revelations. Clearer targets.

Greater revelations of God's love, indeed.

By God's grace we are seeing that our enemy is not the people who strike us but the one enemy behind them. By His grace we are also realizing how trust in Jesus Christ is vital. I'm personally seeing how He is all I need. I'm continuing to see how I have every blessing in Him.

His body paid for my sickness, poverty, and failure. His blood was the cost of my freedom in the presence of His Father, and now, as Christ is, so are we who believe, in this world. So even if it seems that our enemies have the upper hand, we are able to stand fast in the liberty by which Christ has set us free. We are able to speak to the mountain, and it will be flung into the ocean.

I believe that a great part of the greater revelations of God's love are for our edification, and for all men to draw closer to the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

These are exciting times to live in. To God be all the glory.

God bless and keep you. Jesus loves you.
