That was such a timely song... That's what we need to hear, receive and declare each and every time.
Though we would be in cloud nine or in the middle of a raging storm, grace and truth still stands. I'm led to believe that truth states that we are nothing on our own, and all that we do on our own amounts to nothing. It is all, as Solomon says, vanity, or meaningless, depending on the Bible translation you have.
Grace, on the other hand, states that God loves you deeply, and it is seen in Christ, who did it all when you couldn't do a thing. He gave everything He had for it to be possible for you to receive life, and not just life, but abundant life.
That is the good news we believe, confess, and declare: You can do anything and everything, but it will never be enough to deserve Salvation. What you do on your own will never provide true happiness.
God is not angry with you. No matter who you are, or what you've done, He loves you. He sent His beloved Son, the one and only Jesus Christ, born of a virgin, lived without sin but became sin for us to become righteous in His sight.
Let's simplify that. You couldn't make it on your own. But God loves you. Jesus died and rose again for you to be saved.
Believe it. Receive it.
