Every day we are tempted to judge people. We should always remember that we are no better. No matter how much we claim to follow God's law, we will always fall short. I can be the richest, most educated person, but I will still fall short of God's Law. God is perfect, and therefore His law is perfect.

Have you ever told a lie? Have you ever said a swear word, or have you taken the Lord's name in vain? Men, have you ever checked a woman out and imagined how she would look without those jeans? Jesus calls this ‘innocent’ or ‘natural’ act adultery (Matthew 5:28). Or get this; did you ever express anger to someone? Or did you call anyone a fool, or worse? These acts will get you ‘subject to judgment’ (5:21-22). Your own established standards defining what is right and wrong will not do you any good. It is God's law that counts.

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" - Romans 3:23

Death and eternal damnation is the punishment for all who fall short of God's law. Since our sin causes us to fall short of His law, we were all doomed to suffer.

But God chose to give us Jesus to bear this punishment for our sin. Believing in Him is the only way for one to be saved from hell.

See, Jesus Christ is not just another teacher. He's not another wise person who started a religion. He is the Creator of the Universe and all that is, who chose to live like one of us, to bear what we bear. We cannot say that He does not know what we feel - He's been through what you've been through, and then some.

He could have damned the whole human race into an eternity of suffering beyond what our own imagination can comprehend - instead, He chose to love us by suffering the most painful torture and execution that we could think of... All for us to have what really matters - a personal relationship with God Almighty.

I can't believe Him for you. You need to personally confess to Him that you have sinned, and the only thing that can save you is accepting the fact that He died in your place.

Make that decision today, before it’s too late. God bless you.
