The Lord is such a great and awesome God, and throughout history we have seen countless reminders of how He is not just omnipotent, omniscient, and omnipresent - He is the ONLY God, and those who call upon Him will be rescued. With that being said I pray that what comes after this chapter of our life spent in Sitel would be used for the world to know how our God - Jehovah, the God of Israel, who sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to live as one of us and to die for our redemption - is the God above all other gods, created only within the limitations of human thinking.
1 Corinthians 1:25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength... God chose what the world thinks foolish to shame the wise, and God chose what the world thinks weak to shame the strong.
This is the sort of thinking I believe we are led to - this is faith that goes far beyond human reasoning. We keep telling God that we surrender everything to Him, and right now is one of those times that we lay so much on the line - just as Abraham placed Isaac on the altar of sacrifice. By the way, how did God respond to that?
Genesis 22:12 "Do not harm the boy!" the angel said. "Do not do anything to him, for now I know that you fear God because you did not withhold your son, your only son, from me."
Genesis 22:15-18 The LORD's angel called to Abraham a second time from heaven and said, "'I solemnly swear by my own name,' decrees the LORD, 'that because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your only son, I will indeed bless you, and I will greatly multiply your descendants so that they will be as countless as the stars in the sky or the grains of sand on the seashore. Your descendants will take possession of the strongholds of their enemies. Because you have obeyed me, all the nations of the earth will pronounce blessings on one another using the name of your descendants.'"
So much is on the line. There are less facts, more speculation, more reason to fear, more reason to give up. We must always remember God's promises on top of all that we are subject to evaluate. The Word of the Lord is absolute and sure. Jesus Christ is Faithful and True.
Isaiah 55:11 In the same way, the promise that I make does not return to me, having accomplished nothing. No, it is realized as I desire and is fulfilled as I intend."
