"It is not good to eat much honey: so for men to search their own glory is not glory."

- Proverbs 25:27

Everything is for God, and not for my own glory. This is one thing that we should always keep in mind, regardless of what we do. As we have been born human, we have been burdened with the strong temptation of yielding to what our own pride demands out of us - perfection. Dominance. Superiority.

The world we live in no longer has any shame in promoting the idea that happiness can be found in mere things, nor does it have any compassion for the countless victims that have fallen, trying to make this idea true.

I have seen how thieves make a business out of man coveting something that someone else has. I have seen how friendships are broken or damaged beyond repair because a man in one relationship fell for a woman in another relationship. I have seen how simple hunger could drive a man to indecisive and irrational thinking, leading to a mistake resulting to regret not worth the food. I have seen how impatience can lead to embarrassment.

I have seen how my dependence on attention in social networking sites have damaged my relationships in real life. I have seen how my addiction to pornography has damaged my own perceptions of real relationships, my own courage in making decisions which involve the reactions of other people. I have seen how a single word could spur unimaginable anger out of people who you never thought could explode.

There is no happiness to be found where happiness cannot be found.

A man told me what commitment was. It was finding what is important and concentrating on what was important.

Right now what I think is important is communicating that through our flaws, through all of our hindrances and sins, our own perceptions of what can make us happy will bring us nowhere unless we return to the source of true happiness and peace: God.

I'm through with fretting about what other people would think when I do things. Following God is enough. All we have to do is surrender.

"Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee."

- 1 Timothy 4:16

God bless us all.
