Fellow Supervisors,
Greetings.
Today I arrived at work, slightly late, yet ready. I logged into my phone, and I also attempted to log into my computer, noticing that the 'Log on to:' field contained '************' as opposed to '******' which I was used to. I logged in to my PC, appalled to find out that my toolbar was returned to one row, and the icons I had on my desktop were gone. And when I opened 'My Documents', I was surprised to see a nice, clean, white screen, with 'My Pictures' and 'FAT-RAT AIM.blt'.
Some culinary expletives were mentioned, and I apologize to ****** *******, ****** ******, and **** ***** for being there as lightning rods immediately after the discovery. I was aware that we will have to move out to accommodate relocating supervisors, but I was not expecting my computer to be reghosted without notification. Normally I would not spam like this, however I am quite perturbed with the gravity of this particular situation. One year of work - the monitors, the action plans, the projects, the representations of the all the sacrifices and stress I had to go through - gone.
Ultimately, this was all the result of miscommunication and faulty assumptions. My station was included in a list of extensions set to be reghosted. If I only knew, this wouldn't have happened, and we would have moved on with our happy (?) lives. IF I ONLY KNEW. I forgive whoever needs to be forgiven.
We are all adults, and I trust that we can think for ourselves. I hope lessons can be learned where lessons are due. Though it's going to be quite difficult for me for now to realize what God wants me to learn from this, especially now that problems in scheduling might end up to me working a 10 day work week.
