All I want for Christmas

- Shades like Ozzy Osbourne's. In Black or Brown.
- Bonnets with contrasting but still visually appealing colors.
- An operation for a normal chin.
- My braces. Off.
- Some decent PC speakers.
- Any CD featuring Ben Sawton.
- Loafers that are MY size.
- A train ride from Baguio to Manila that would take a few minutes.
- Other clothes that are MY size.
- Puzo Novels.
- A DVD writer. Make that 2.
- An iPod.
- People who can adopt the 10 puppies we have.
- Load. or a 24/7 card.
- A copy, legal or Muslim, of Unreal Tournament 2004.
- Kid Notorious video collections. Legal.
- Another copy of Watterson's Calvin and Hobbes: It's a Magical World.
- A Camera Phone.

Or I can settle for an extremely fortunate and, more to the point, extremely unexpected event that will make me forget all the pain that happened this month and last month to give way for me to either heal and learn, or forgive and cherish that which truly matters.

No, I'm not asking Santa. I'm asking Joe Pesci. He has better dibs on giving these things. Except for the train ride. Or maybe if Ray Liotta was around they can make it happen.

Who the hell am I kidding? I gotta stop bullshitting myself, get straight with my Creator, and count on His ever-sufficient Grace for all that i need. See, that's one thing I discovered. Lesser sins means lesser guilt, and lesser guilt means more faith, and more faith means more to gain. It's a matter of putting away what you want and giving it all up for the Absolute Authority to handle for the good of all involved.

That being said, this is basically a public announcement, to protect me from me. A pledge to myself to signify that there was a time in Joseph Brent S. Lardizabal's life wherein he has thought of throwing away that which he has been addicted to in faith that God, with His perfect Wisdom, will turn him from a slave to 'happiness' to a servant happily serving.

When I am stubborn and suffering from the mistakes that i willingly committed, remind me that I said this.. and that God is my witness.

I never thought I'd be my own worst enemy. The boys of the band Lit couldn't be more frank about this.
