Miles' Minority

I've been looking at Jethro's posts lately, and I was very surprised too see that the guy has a jazz side to him. The same jazz i like - or at least one group - Miles Davis and his cats. There are now 3 or 4 people here in Baguio who know how to appreciate this misunderstood and so-called cacophony of deeper emotion. See, if somebody thinks that the instrumental Blue Monk is too old to be cool, they're automatically crossed out of my list. And if David Benoit's Freedom of Midnight is more like restaurant music to you, you're out too.

Which brings me to thinking of where I could get some original CDs to replace the mp3 collection I have. See, in my opinion, to truly show your appreciation for a group or a band, you should at least cut them some slack and get their music from dignified sources. Not the P2P place, and not from you friend Mohammad Shawarmalabad al-Iyeachaman.

What would make me happy now? Well, a dream I had ever since I was in 4th year high school - A cosmopolitan while enjoying the view at my 52nd floor condominium, listening to Sade playing lightly on my brutal but underestimated sound system. And while I'm dreaming, I'd like an iPod.

Guess that's it for now. Um, does anyone have a CD of the Gunter Kallmann Christmas Sing-In? Please contact me right away.

WHAT DISTURBED ME TODAY: Squid Guts. They ruined my Spicy Squid dish. Word of advice - You only want the outside 'skin' part. The flesh is the best. And hollow out the guts and serve them separately. Hard lesson learned.
